For over 27 years, Elite Energy Events has produced some of Australia’s most memorable multi-sport events – from grassroots community races to world-class international championships.
What began in 1999 as a two-person operation has grown into a powerhouse team of 20+ office staff, led by CEO Mark ‘Emo’ Emerton. Today, Elite Energy Events is the go-to name for delivering successful mass participation and multi-sport festivals nationwide – with over 30 events planned for the year ahead across exciting new locations.
What sets us apart isn’t just logistics – it’s the atmosphere. Participants consistently describe Elite Energy events as something truly special: a combination of community spirit, electric event-day energy, and a team that genuinely cares. From the village setup to the final finish line, every detail is crafted to make the experience unforgettable.

Mark ‘Emo’ Emerton
Founder & CEO
Emo started racing triathlons in the Royal Australian Navy. After 23 years of service and over 300 events, including two Hawaii Ironmans, five World Championships and a bronze at the Arafura Games, that passion didn’t slow down. It turned into Elite Energy Events.
Based in Nowra, Emo had a vision: bring world-class racing to the Shoalhaven and give more people the chance to experience the sport he loves. The Shimano Husky Triathlon was one of the first events on the Elite Energy calendar and remains a firm favourite in the tri community today. From those roots, Elite Energy has grown to over 35 events a year – from grassroots fun runs to national championships, international events and everything in between.
